Cyclathon-Awarenss towards usage of Fuel, Pollution and World Environmental Day
World Environment Day was celebrated in DSCASC with great fun fare on 8th July 2022. The main purpose of the event was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it. The day was flagged off by creating awareness on using cycles, and planting quick growing trees, that do not require much water, saplings were planted in and around Dayananda Sagar College and Kumaraswamy Layout.

On 14th June 2022, HR Club –YUKTHI organized an event titled “Pic & Speak” for the members of the HR Club from 3:00 PM- 4:30 PM in Building No. 13 Room no. 204. Event commenced with a brief of the activity, rules and regulations to be followed.
Pictorial Storytelling
Pictorial storytelling event was conducted on 9th June 2022 in room no 212 at 3pm and the categories of the event were mobile and DSLR photography. The time allotted was 30 minutes for the participants to go around the campus and to shoot 4-5 pictures of their choice regarding a specific subject and present it together to form a story and the participants were judged based on the creativity, storyline and quality of the submission.
Essay Writing
Student Activity Cell (Sanchalana) and Equal Opportunity Cell conducted the Essay Writing competition on 15-06-2022. Students from BBA and B.Com departments participated in the Essay competition. There were about 12 students who participated in the Essay Writing competition. M.Asha Rao IV Sem B.Com D Section won the 1st prize, Shubadha.S from IV Sem B.Com C Section won the 2nd prize, Shamitha IV Sem B.Com C Section 3rd prize. Certificates were given to the winner and Runner from the BBA/B.Com department. Students participated enthusiastically and made this event successful.

For the Academic year 2021-22, Accounts Club – “ACCOUNTTOHOLICS” Department of commerce and management, DSCASC organized an event on 9th June 2022 at room No 208 of business block at 3 pm. The event organised between 30-05-2022 to 4/06/2022 was aimed at bringing together the participants of various classes and also provide a stage for students to showcase their creativity in dressing up according to the themes given. Marketing Club Event
The Final round of the Mad Ads Event was conducted on 10th March 2022 from 2:00 – 300PM organized by Student Coordinator of Marketing Club Ms. Vyshnavi and team under the guidance of Faculty Observer Prof. Sheema Shaheen. 5 teams were qualified from the results of the first round which was conducted on 28th December 2021. Finally 4 teams participated and gave a tremendous performance on stage. Team Thirboki Jeevna bagged 1st Place and 2nd Place was taken by Team Old School.
Mensural Hygiene
CSR executive Ms.Ankita Sukhwal of Unicharm Indiawas invited as a resource person who gave the audience a insights of Mensural hygiene. She educated students on how important it is to have knowledge about these things irrespective of gender. She also explained the importance of Hygiene during mensuration and various healthy practices to be followed during the same. It was a very Informative session to both the students as well as faculty members.
Rangoli Competition
Women Dignity cell (Shakthi), cultural committee (Purva), and Student Activity Cell (Sanchalana) conducted the Rangoli competition on 08-03-2022. Students from BBA and B. Com departments participated in the Rangoli competition. There were about 5 students who participated in the Rangoli competition. Two students named Bhoomika and Mahananda from I Sem B.Com bagged 1st and 2nd prize. Trophies were given to the winner and Runner from the BBA/B. Com department. Students who participated enthusiastically wished all women a Happy women’s day and made this event successful.
International Women’s Day 2022 Program
Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science and Commerce celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2022 under IQAC, Women Dignity Cell (SHAKTHI), Cultural Committee (Parva) and Student Activity Cell (Sanchalana). The International Women’s Day Program highlights commenced with the Wellness and Awareness of Women health issues. Program proceeding with an enlightening song and dance of invocation by Ananya team and Swathishree V. Account Club organized a quiz competition for the students of BCom/BBA on the topic of ‘THE NUMBER CRUNCHERS’ for the purpose of sharpening the brains of students which was held on 03-01-2022 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the building no.13, room no.211. The resource person of the competition was Prof.Rashmi and Prof.pavithra. The competition was started with the welcome speech to the participants. The members of accountoholics started the activity with 24 participants which were formed into 12 teams.
Enhancement Employability Skills
On the 31st of January 2022 Department of BBA/B.Com under the Alumni Cell (SAMMILANA)) organized webinar title ‘Enhancement Employability Skills’ exclusively for all the students of V Semester BBA/B Com. The resource person was Mr Sabareesh Shanmugam who was the alumni of Commerce for the batch 2014 to 2017. Currently working in Deutsche India Private Limited. On 29th January 2022 an E-Quiz competition was organised by Vivekananda Study centre of Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science and Commerce along with Department of Commerce and Management – BU (UG) under the guidance of IQAC Cell for all the UG & PG students of BBA/B.Com/B.Sc./BCA/MBA/MCA/M.Com courses. This E- Quiz was organised to test the students’ knowledge on the life of Swami Vivekananda. A total of 106 participated in the event.

“How To File Income Tax Return (ITR)”
The event was organized under the Guest Lecture series of the BBA/ B Com Department. The overall objective of the guest lecture was to make all individuals possess the knowledge/idea of filing income tax. Around 50 Students from Final Year B Com Finance specialization attended the session. The speaker gave insight on how to fill Income Tax of a salaried individual assesse, selection of Mode for filing income tax, about the income tax rates and deductions on loans, investments, taxable income.

Paper Bag Making
Paper Bag making organized by BBA/B.Com Department of DSCASC from Eco Cell (PRAKRUTHI) and ISR Cell (DISHAA) on the theme “Say no to Plastic”. This event was organized by BBA/B.Com Department of DSCASC. The faculties Coordinator’s for the event were Prof.Ashwini Basavaraju, Prof.Anitha.A from ECO Cell (Prakruthi) and Prof.Shalini Kumari Rawani from ISR Cell (Dishaa) in association with IQAC. The Paper bags of 2,000 numbers were made by the 20 student volunteers of the cell from 13th December to 16th December 2021 and were distributed to the small street vendors and some medicals on 21st December 2021 in Kumarswamy layout with the awareness drive ‘say no to plastic’ and use of eco friendly paper bags.

The E-Quiz was conducted on 11th Dec 2020 on the topic the topics “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and start up and Basics of Incubation and Innovation”.
