Department of BCA Organized a Celestia 2024, inter college Hackathon events on 6th Nov 2024

Animation, VFX, Gaming and Graphics Design

The Department of Computer Application DSCASC organized seminar on “Animation, VFX, Gaming and Graphics Design” on 12th September 2024. Resource person Mr. Kasinath Patro started his talk about Applications of VFX, animation and designing in the entertainment industry.

Guest Lecture on Data Analytics

The Department of BCA conducted a Guest Lecture on “Data Analytics Scope and Opportunities from industry perspective” on 2/9/2024. Mr. ArunKumar V, Embedded Technical Leader,Intel Technologies, Bangalore,India enlighten the scope of Data Analytics in today’s world. He also thrown a light on Skills to be enhanced to get the role as a data Analyst, Business Analyst and Data Scientist.

Coding Club

The BCA department held coding club activities from 12/8/24 to 31/8/24 on various activities like Crossword puzzle on topics related to computer science, Quiz based on various programming languages and Debugging in c and java for evaluating the programming skills of the students.

Swatantra Bharatadalli Swatantriyara Sthiti

On 19/08/2024 Monday, a debate competition was conducted by BCA department. The topic of the event was “Swatantra Bharatadalli swatantriyara sthiti” from 12 pm to 1pm for the BCA students 5th A students. The aim of organising debate competition was to improve the public speaking skills of the students and teach them to articulate their thoughts and opinions.

Exploring applications of Natural Language Processing

During the guest lecture on natural language processing, the speaker discussed the advancements in AI technology that have enabled machines to understand and respond to human language in a more natural and human-like manner. The

Poster Making & Logo Design

On Thursday 12/09/2024 poster making and logo design event was conducted by BCA Department under coding club, the topics for poster Making was “Business Ventures” and for Logo design was “Social Media”.

COE-Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

The Department of BCA under COE-AI and Data Science conducted an activity “Exploring to the Gemini AI" on 30-9-2024.The student members under the COE-AI and Data Science gave a demonstration of the Gemini Tool to MCA and BCA students.

Personal Effectiveness

Centre for Innovation and Leadership – CIL conducted training for the students BCA 1 st Sem ‘A’ and ’B’ in “Personal Effectiveness”. There were 2 trainers, Ms.Veena, Ms.Vanishree. All the trainers conducted group activity to make the students gain their confidence levels, to make sure they understand time management, and also on how to set their personal goals.

Interpersonal Skills

The Department of Computer applications arranged a CIL programs for 3 rd sem BCA Students on the topic of interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills can be defined as connecting with people around us and also reciprocating.

Pre Placement Training

Centre for Innovation and Leadership – CIL conducted training for the students BCA VthSem ‘A’ and ’B’ in “Pre placement Training ”. There were 2trainers, Mr.Prem Raj and Mr.ChaitanyaS .Pre-placement training is actually act as booster as the graduating students are not very experienced in handling technical interviews and placement approaches which leads to loss of their self-esteem.

A Guest lecture on Applications on Discrete Mathematics on Cryptography

Department of BCA Organized a Guest Lecture on the title “Importance of Mathematical Analysis” by Dr. Sushma M Puranik on 26-09-2024. The Guest Lecture Commenced at 11 am with the welcome note. Dr.Sushma M started the session by discussing the various concepts of Mathematics and their applications of Discrete Mathematics and also discussed about Cryptography and uses of that in Computer field.

Placement Orientation for BCA students was conducted for the year 2019-20.
