BBA and B.Com Department of DSCASC has organised FDP on “Contemporary Management & Commerce Education through Research Excellence” on 16/03/2022. The programme was inaugurated by dignitaries by lighting the lamp. Prof Sahanashree welcomed the dignitaries & gathering.
Dr. Sheril Michael Almeida discloses the "Philosophy of Management and Commerce Research". Mam elaborated the philosophy of research through the “Research Onion” diagram. Scope of social science research and how to promote research work at colleges and universities were focus points.

The key speaker for the webinar was Dr Prashant R. Nair Vice-Chairman-IQAC & Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
Dr Prashant R. Nair shared the vision for Higher Education in India – 2020 with a focus on Government initiatives for formulating a New Education Policy through the consultation process for an inclusive, participatory and holistic approach, which takes into consideration expert opinions, field experiences, empirical research, and stakeholder feedback.

An FDP titled “Academic Integrity and Role of IPR in Effective Implementation of NEP” was organized by BBA & B.Com department on 20th November 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at New Business Block. It was aimed to provide basic information about NEP 2020 with reference to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
The speaker highlighted the basic structure of NEP and also focused on how IPR will play an important role in the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of a faculty. It was also emphasized that faculty’s intellectual credits will be uploaded on NEP platform in future. Academic Bank of Credit was also explained in detail.

Summary:The department of B.Com/BBA NEP Batch 2023-24 organised Inauguration Program on 2nd August 2023 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at PC Sagar Auditorium. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr.Sujith Paul, CEO,Zota Healthcare Ltd,Bengaluru and the Binoy.K,Campus Engagement Manager,Wipro was the Guest of honour. The speakers highlighted on Opportunities for B.Com/BBA Graduates, Placement Criteria, Resume writing, Industry expectation from students, Personality building, Values, ethics, mind exercises to be practised and various internship programs during the course.

Summary: The Department of BBA/ B.Com Student Activity Cell (Sanchalana) and Cultural Committee organized T Shirt Painting on 20th December 2021. The scheduled time for the program was 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm. There were about 4 students who participated in the competition. 2 students where given prizes. Open theme was given to the students, where students participated enthusiastically.

Summary:Women Dignity cell (Shakthi), cultural committee (Purva), and Student Activity Cel(Sanchalana) conducted the Rangoli competition on 08-03-2022. Students from BBA andB. Com departments participated in the Rangoli competition. There were about 5 student who participated in the Rangoli competition. Two students named Bhoomika and Mahananda from I Sem B.Com bagged 1st and 2nd prize.

Summary:E-Quiz" for the students of B.Com and BBA. The quiz was conducted on 01st June 2021. The scheduled time for the participants to submit the response was from 12 PM to 3PM.Around 284 students participated for the E-Quiz through Google Forms. The criteria of the quiz was that the participants had to score more than 50%, totally 220 participants were issued E-Certificates.

Summary:Mehendi competition was conducted on the Online Zoom platform on 6/02/21 at 11am, Building no 13, 1st Floor. Initially Google form link was sent to the students to register, Around 16 students and 3 faculties participated in the competition. Rabiya,5th Sem Bcom D sec bagged First Prize, Fathima from 5th BBA C sec won Second Prize and Tasmiya from 1st B.Com B sec won third Prize. Faculties – Sahana won 1st Prize, Faseeha won 2nd Prize and Rashmi Umarji won 3rd Prize in the competition.

Total 325 BBA & B.Com students took art in this competition. E-Certificates were issued to the participants who scored 70% and above. The E-quiz aimed to assess the students English language skills like Basic English grammar, English literature, CAT examination oriented comprehension passage.
