Big Data Analytics
Vision:
The vision of Big Data Analytics is to provide advanced analytical techniques against very large, diverse data sets that include structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, from different sources, and in different sizes from terabytes to zettabytes.
Mission:
Mission is to train the students for using powerful analytics everyday, to shorten the path from data to insight- and to inspire bold new discoveries that drive the progress. The result of analytics breaks down the barriers, fuels ambitions and gets results.
The Mission takes a complex process of examining big data to uncover information- such as hidden patterns, correlations, market trends etc.;
Objectives:
- Big data helps the organizations to create new growth opportunities and entirely new categories of companies that combine and analyze industry data.
- To provide the ability to pursue new business models or to achieve a significant competitive advantage on the company's traditional business.
- To make informed decisions and providing an edge over competitors.
- To increase chance of becoming a key decision maker for an organization.
- It provides a platform for research, current practices, and future trends in emerging discipline of big data analytics.
- Provides insights towards algorithmic, theoretical and computational approaches such as Deep Learning networks, Statistical and mathematical analytics, visualization and informatics.
- Also provides the insights towards applications in domains such as Education, Healthcare, clinical, biological, natural language processing, Multimedia, mobile and business intelligence, Network analytics etc;

Web Technologies
Vision:
To empower the students with knowledge in latest and trending technologies in web development and to create awareness about global scenario in field of web technology and to create web developers, designers, programmers and entrepreneurs.
Mission:
- To create awareness among students about career opportunities in web development.
- To facilitate student to become entrepreneurs in domain of web technologies.
- To impart high quality training programmers in web technologies.
- Hands on workshops on UI , UX and Server and client side technologies
Objectives:
- To provide and promote opportunities for students and faculties to engage in real time web development.
- To conduct series of guest lectures from industry experts in field of web technologies.
- To organize hands on workshops on latest technologies like Angular JS, JS, HTML, and CSS etc.
- To motivate students and faculties to take up certification programs.
- To engage with young and budding entrepreneurs with own startups.
Core activities:
- The core activities to be conducted under the Centre of Excellence – Web Technologies are
- Creating awareness in latest technologies in web development
- Conducting seminars and hands workshops for the students to gain knowledge in the technology.
- Certified Training programs to be designed in the web development and related technologies to upgrade students’ skill and improve his / her employability skills.
- To create internship and placement opportunities for the students by tying up with various web-based companies i.e., by signing MOU.
What is the exact role of Centre of Excellence?
Aligning with vision, mission of the Dayananda Sagar Institution and the Department of MCA, The Centers of Excellence have been constituted. Centre of Excellence in Web Technologies is constituted with the main aim of promoting web-based technologies and training, motivating students in the same. The core team is made up of faculty and students. The faculty are a guiding force behind all the activities conducted under the Centre of Excellence. Students who are part of the core team volunteer and help the faculty in smooth conduction of events. It is imperative that various speakers are invited from the industry and deliver talks in the latest technologies to bridge industry and academia. Alumni of the department are also involved in this process. MOU s are signed with the established companies under the Centre of Excellence to provide training, internships and recruitment. Core team made up of faculty and students.
Web Technologies:
The Centre of excellence – Web Technologies has been established in the year 2020 in the month of June. It had been established to keep the students in sync with the industry developments and to upskill those in the latest web related information and developments and technologies.
